Elderly woman charged in slaying of Brooklyn man
Police have arrested a 61-year-old woman with stabbing a Brooklyn man to death early Thursday morning.
Joan John has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon after she allegedly killed Akeem Burrows, 21, in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.
Both the victim and the suspect lived near the scene of the crime. The nature of their dispute is not clear.

A 21-year-old was stabbed to death this morning, cops said.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 4 a.m. reporting an unconscious man inside a building on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn.
Cops found a 21-year-old man laying on his back inside the stairwell, they said, stabbed in his torso.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops are investigating.
