Police find missing Alzheimer’s patient (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Ellican has been located in good condition, reportedly at Aria Health-Frankford hospital.
ORIGINAL STORY: Police are looking for a 76-year-old woman who went missing on Friday from her home on the 5500 block of Westford Road in Olney.
Investigators said Emma Ellican was last seen around 2:30 p.m.
Ellican suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has a very short term memory, according to police.
The woman also recently emigrated from the Philippines and has a limited understanding of the English language.
Authorities said Ellican went missing several times in the Philippines and is known to take public transportation.
She is described as a 5-foot-2-inch tall Asian female who weighs about 120 pounds. Ellican was last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie with white stripes, black socks, blue flip flops and Rosary beads around her left wrist.
