Lee Street man charged in April 9 Kensington murder
Police have charged a Lee Street man with the April 9 murder of a young woman in Philadelphia’s Kensington section.
Three men also were injured in the gunfire that killed Amanda Martinez, 21, of West Luray Street.
Luis Soto, 25, turned himself in to police on Thursday–the same day a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with the deadly gunfire at Somerset and Lee Streets.
Soto is charged with murder, three counts of attempted murder and related offenses.
Martinez was shot three times in the upper torso. She was pronounced dead at Episcopal Hospital shortly after the shooting.
Soto is accused of shooting an 18-year-old man in the stomach, a 21-year-old man in the groin and buttocks and a 35-year-old man in the leg, police said.
