Off-duty police officer stabbed, robbed in Northeast Philadelphia
An off-duty police officer was stabbed and robbed along Grant Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia Monday night.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. near SEPTA’s Torresdale Avenue station. The 28-year-old officer was out for a jog when he was attacked by two men.
The injured officer was taken to Aria Health Torresdale Campus for treatment of two stab wounds to his stomach. He is listed in stable condition this morning, police said.
Police described both suspects as white males who stand about 5-feet-10 or 5-feet-11.
One suspect has short, dark hair. He was unshaven and wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants at the time of the robbery.
