UPDATE: A law enforcement source reports that cops saw a man who they believe is the suspect wanted in connection with Sunday’s shooting coming out of 2038 Bedford Ave. The suspect was taken into custody without a struggle and is being transported to the 70th Precinct for questioning.

UPDATE:
Cops are searching for a 30-year-old man they say is responsible for shooting three men and firing at police officers in Brooklyn on Sunday.

Kevon Brown allegedly fired the shots that wounded three men in Prospect Lefferts Garden. The police officers were not struck during the shooting and they did not fire back, cops said.

Two of the men were shot outside 33 Lenox Rd., and a third victim was shot outside 50 Lenox Rd. around 3:25 p.m., police said.

Brown is described as 5-foot-10, weighing 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, and wearing a white T-shirt and multicolored shorts.

Metro’s original story is below.

Police are reporting a shooting at 50 Lenox Road in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon. Three men were shot, and the shooter allegedly fired on uniformed police officers who responded to the scene.

Cops said two males were shot in the torso and a third was shot in the neck. All are being treated at Kings County Hospital; their injuries are not expected to be fatal, though a police spokesperson said “none of them are in good shape.”

Uniformed officers responding to a 911 call of shots fired arrived on scene and spoke with the alleged shooter, a police spokesperson said. It could not be confirmed at this time whether the officers pointed their firearms at the suspected shooter.

The alleged shooter reportedly fired several rounds at the uniformed officers. None of the officers were hit or injured, and the alleged shooter fled on foot in an unknown direction, cops said.

A police spokesperson reported that none of the officers discharged their weapons.

He is still being actively sought in the Lefferts Garden area of Brooklyn.

A police spokesperson refuted claims that one of the victims was a 4-year-old boy. While their exact ages are not yet known, the spokesperson said the youngest victim is a teenager.
