Man shot in the head in Crescentville homicide

Philadelphia police are investigating a Friday night homicide in the city’s Crescentville section.

Investigators said officers around 11:20 p.m. responded to a radio call reporting a person with a gun on the 5500 block of Hill Creek Drive.

Responding officers found a man, 31, unconscious and lying on the street.

He had been shot in the head.

The victim was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical center, where he died shortly before 11:30 p.m.

His identity has not yet been released.

No arrests have yet been made, and there is no word on a motive or suspect.
