’74 Cup champions ring stolen from original Flyer’s daughter
A diamond-encrusted ring given to Joe Watson’s wife to commemorate the Flyers’ 1973-74 Stanley Cup championship was stolen from the Rittenhouse home of the original Flyer’s daughter earlier this week.
The ring was stolen from Heidi Watson’s Rittenhouse Square apartment on Monday afternoon, Philly.com reports.
Watson, 34, received the ring as a gift from her mother for her college graduation.
Joe Watson was a member of the expansion Flyers in 1967. He played 11 seasons with the team.
Anyone who knows where the ring is can call Central Detectives Division at 215-686-3093.
