Teresa Heinz Kerry in ‘good’ condition
Teresa Heinz Kerry has been moved to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital after recovering from a seizure of unknown cause. Her health condition has officially been upgraded to “good” from “fair.”
Kerry was initially transported from Nantucket Cottage Hospital to Massachusetts General Hospital after the health scare at her family’s Nantucket home, the Globe reported.
Still, doctors have yet to determine the exact cause of Kerry’s seizure. They have ruled out a heart attack, stroke, or brain tumor.
“Doctors have concluded that Mrs. Heinz Kerry suffered a seizure on Sunday, but they are still determining its precise cause,” spokesman Glen Johnson said in a statement, the Globe reported.
Via Johnson, Teresa’s husband Secretary of State John Kerry expressed gratitude for the public’s kind wishes.
“Let me confirm: It helps you get better,” Kerry said. “We are blessed to have so many people care about Teresa, and by the continued grace of God and the prayer of everybody, she will soon share herself just how much she appreciates every last expression of kindness directed toward her and our family.”
