Report: Philly rapper to play Tupac in upcoming Suge Knight biopic
Philadelphia rapper Gillie da Kid will play Tupac Shakur in an upcoming biopic about Death Records CEO Suge Knight, according to an interview the hip hop veteran gave to All Hip Hop News.
Gillie told the outlet a budget for the film has already been secured and the script is finished, but a shooting schedule has not yet been finalized.
“Just know I’m going to transform like Will Smith did when he played Ali,” he said.
“We already know I’m ‘G’d’ enough to play ‘Pac – that was never a question after they put a little makeup on me. I’ve been in the gym. I’m trying to put on a little 10 [pounds] real quick.”
Gillie will also be appearing alongside Ving Rhames and Steven Seagal in the soon-to-be-released film “Force of Execution.”
