Truck fire closes Turnpike in South Jersey
A tractor trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County this morning, causing delays in both directions.
The fire happened near Exit 4 in Mount Laurel, NBC10 reports. Exit 4 is at Route 73.
The truck driver was able to escape from the fire uninjured.
All three northbound lanes remain closed following the fire. Backups go as far as three miles in each direction.
Only two southbound lanes are open after the fire.
