Anthony Weiner mocks British TV reporter

Anthony Weiner has apparently found a new way to deal with reporters who ask tough questions: mock them.

The mayoral candidate laughed at a British TV reporter while canvassing in Harlem on Thursday and told her he couldn’t take her seriously.

“I just have a feeling I, like, stepped into a Monty Python bit,” Weiner told the ITV reporter, who had asked him if anything would stop him from running in the race.

It didn’t stop there. Weiner then offered to present a weather forecast for the England viewers.

“It’s going to be raining, cloudy and gray, so do what you can guys,” he said sarcastically.

Earlier on the same day, Weiner asked a NBC News reporter what he was working on. When the reporter told him he was following up on the campaign, Weiner said, “Dude, you got to get a hobby.”

Weiner was not in a joking mood before he started canvassing on Thursday. He scolded staff members for disorganized paperwork in front of media cameras, NBC reported.

Support for Weiner has plummeted in the past two and half weeks after it was revealed that he was involved in an online sexting relationship as recently as last fall. Once in first place, he has now slipped to fourth place in the latest polls.
