Rookie NYPD officer accidentally shoots own leg during domestic dispute call in Bed-Stuy
A 26-year-old rookie police officer shot himself in the leg during a domestic dispute call in Brooklyn Saturday night.
The unidentified NYPD officer was responding to a report that a man attacked his 50-year-old mother at their Hasley Street home in Bedford Stuyvesant around 8 p.m.
The officer pulled out his gun during a confrontation with Junior Daniels, 24, who appeared to have beaten his mother.
The cop, who had been on the job for one year according to multiple outlets, holstered his weapon and accidentally pulled the trigger.
