Transit train hits person on tracks in South Jersey
A New Jersey Transit train struck a person in Burlington County this morning.
The incident occurred along NJ Transit’s River Line just south of the Burlington-South station about 9:15 a.m., NBC10 reports. The person was on the train tracks at West Broad Street and Commerce Square Boulevard, in Burlington, when he or she was struck by the northbound train.
The pedestrian struck by the light rail train was still alive at the scene, but no further information was immediately available.
