Two bikers were attacked on the Riverside Park bike path in two separate incidents recently, police said.

Police said both assaults took place just south of the George Washington Bridge.

The first victim, a 40-year-old man from Fort Lee, N.J., was knocked off his bicycle about 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 when he was “clotheslined” with a rope, cops said. He told police he was attacked by three men in their 20s. One of the attackers rode off on his Cannondale bike while the other two beat him. They stole his cell phone, driver’s license, keys and $500 in cash before running off into the park.

The second victim, a 35-year-old man from West New York, N.J., was assaulted about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 29, police said. He also says he was assaulted by three men in their 20s, one of whom knocked him off his bike by hitting him with a stick. That one took off on his Felt bicycle while the two others held him down and beat him before stealing his backpack, which had his iPhone, Kindle Touch and three credit cards in it, and running off into the park.

Both victims told police they did not see their attackers’ faces and could not identify them.
