Boy, 8, shot in Chester, teen arrested
An 8-year-old boy was shot in Chester Thursday evening.
Police were called to a home on the 500 block of Norris Street about 5:10 p.m. on a report of a shooting, 6ABC Action News reports. The found the boy suffering from a gunshot wound in a second-floor bedroom there.
The boy’s 19-year-old family member accidentally shot him, according to the report. The teen is facing charges of recklessly endangering another person and receiving stolen property.
The victim was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
