Empty charter boat sinks in Boston Harbor
An 85-foot charter boat that was docked in Boston Harbor sank Sunday afternoon, according to reports.
Virginia Sea 2 was empty when it began taking on water, CBS Boston reported.
The vessel was a commercial boat until 2011 and has been abandoned at a pier since then, according to the Coast Guard, which is investigating whether charges will be filed against the boat’s owner.
Investigators are working to determine whether there will be any environmental impacts.
