LAX gunman is South Jersey native
The gunman who Friday opened fire against and killed an unarmed federal agent at Los Angeles International Airport grew up in South Jersey, reports say.
Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, grew up in Pennsville, Salem County, about 40 miles outside of Philadelphia.
According to the South Jersey Times, some of Ciancia’s family members in South Jersey were trying to alert police he may be suicidal based on text messages.
Ciancia was living in Los Angeles.
