VIDEO: Police ID suspects in Queen Village, Point Breeze robberies

Philadelphia police have released mugshots of two men suspected of three gunpoint robberies in Queen Village and Point Breeze in the last three weeks.

Police have also released surveillance videos of the suspects, including one that captured an armed robbery.

Police say Nicholas Pompeii, 19, of the 1900 block of South 17th Street, and Kennan Gentry, 20, of the 1800 block of South Bancroft Street, are responsible for robberies on Oct. 17 on the 700 block of South Fourth Street, Oct. 19 on the 700 block of Passyunk Avenue and Oct. 22 on the 1300 block of South Fifth Street.

Two other people were involved in the Oct. 17 robbery, which occurred about 11 p.m. Police have not identified those suspects, who were not directly involved in the armed robbery, but instead retrieved a getaway vehicle, a green or gray Toyota Camry used in each robbery.

One of the two other suspects is also shown on a video released by police using the Oct. 22 victim’s credit card to make purchases at a Wal-Mart store.

Pompeii is 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 170 pounds. Gentry is 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 140 pounds, and is alleged to be the gunman in each robbery.

Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Police warn citizens not to approach them, but should instead call 911 or the South Detectives Division at 215-686-3013/3014.
