The FBI and Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s help identifying a man who robbed the Citizens Bank branch in the city’s Mayfair section Tuesday afternoon.

The same suspect is also believed to be responsible for a second bank robbery, also in Philadelphia’s Mayfair section, according to the FBI.

The latest robbery happened about 12:35 p.m. at the Citizens Bank branch at 7327 Frankford Ave. The suspect entered the bank, presented a note to a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI described the suspect as a white male in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin to medium build. He had facial hair and was wearing a black Billabong sweatshirt, eyeglasses, dark pants and sneakers.

The FBI warns that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who recognizes him should call the FBI at 215-418-4000.

The same man is considered a suspect in the robbery Sunday of the Republic Bank branch located at 7300 Frankford Ave. On that occasion, he wore a gray sweatshirt with “Lynchburg Lacrosse” written on it.
