Assailant at large after bullet grazes man’s head in Chelsea shooting
The assailant remained at large after a bullet grazed a man’s head during a shooting in Chelsea early Monday morning, police said.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was shot by an unknown person about 1:20 a.m. at Ninth Avenue and West 26th Street, down the block from P.S. 33 Chelsea Prep, police and fire officials said.
He was hit in the left hip and another bullet grazed his head, police said. The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
The shooting is under investigation. The victim had not provided a description of the shooter as of Monday morning, police said.
Without a suspect description, police said the shooter remained at large Monday morning.
