Charred body parts identified as Haverhill man
The charred body parts that were discovered in a barrel in Bridgewater last Wednesday have been identified.
Through fingerprint analysis, investigators have identified the body as Dennis R. Jackson, 24, of Haverhill, the Plymouth County District Attorney confirmed to WCVB Wednesday night.
Authorities are working to determine if the body parts found in Hyde Park also belonged to Jackson.
On Nov. 13, authorities found partial human remains on fire in a barrel on the grounds of the Department of Correction complex in Bridgewater. The next morning, a charred torso was discovered on the property of a repair company on Readville Street in Hyde Park.
An unnamed law enforcement official confirmed to the the Globe that a person was spotted on security footage tossing something on the ground and setting it on fire.
Authorities are working to investigate whether Jackson’s death is connected to the search of a home in Salisbury. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to WCVB that Jackson may have known the occupant of the home.
