On Tuesday police searched the home of a Lunenburg football player whose house was vandalized with racist graffiti last month.

Officers searched the home of 13-year-old Isaac Phillips, who plays for the Blue Knights. Police reportedly left the home with a brown bag folded over halfway down, the Worcester Telegram reported. The contents were not released, but police said they believe “a conclusion will be forthcoming.”

The search at the house came one day after police said there was no evidence linking the vandalism to Lunenburg football players, according to the  Telegram.

Last month the Phillips family told police that someone had painted racist graffiti on the side of the family’s home reading, “Knights don’t need n—.” The school’s varsity football game was canceled as a result.

“I stand against the hate that has been displayed in our town this week,” Lunenburg School Committee Chairman Gregory Berthiaume said in a statement shortly after the incident occurred. “I choose to speak out for tolerance, mutual respect and diversity in Lunenburg.”
