Villanova professor killed in Germantown
A Villanova University professor was stabbed to death in Germantown on Monday night.
The victim has been identified as 69-year-old Carol Armbruster, a professor of astrophysics and astronomy at Villanova, 6ABC Action News reports.
Armbruster was found dead inside her apartment on the 5500 block of Wayne Avenue about 9 p.m. Monday. She had been stabbed several times in the neck and chest.
Police reportedly found the murder weapon in the apartment.
There are no suspects in Armbruster’s slaying, which was reported by the professor’s male roommate.
