SEPTA shuts down buses, Norristown HSL, amid widespread delays
SEPTA suspended all of its city and suburban bus service and its Norristown High Speed Line until further notice.
The transit organization suspended its bus service at 10 a.m. and NHSL at 11 a.m. due to “deteriorating weather conditions,” according to a news release.
As of noon, all Customized Community Transportation will be suspended, “except for customers going to or coming from dialysis, and return trips for customers who traveled on CCT earlier today,” according to the news release.
Riders of the Regional Rail lines can expect delays of up to 60 minutes.
While all other SEPTA modes are operational, the transit authority warned riders to prepare for delays across all operating lines.
SEPTA will make further announcements at Mayor Michael Nutter’s 12:30 p.m. press conference.
