Fire forces Chester family from home
With temperatures near single digits, firefighters in Chester, Delaware County, had to battle fire and ice when a blaze broke out inside the attic of a home early Tuesday morning.
The two-alarm fire along the 2700 block of Price Street sparked about 2:45 a.m., NBC10 reported. It forced a couple and their child from their home.
No one was injured in the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation.
NBC10 noted that a sheet of ice formed on the outside of the home, where minutes earlier there was fire. It took firefighters till about 4 a.m. to bring the blaze under control.
