Philadelphia man found slain in Chester after Grindr date
A man was found clubbed to death in Chester after reportedly going on a date arranged through Grindr, a gay hookup app.
Dino Dizdarevic, 25, was reportedly found Friday in a vacant lot in Chester near Ninth Street and Parker at the bottom of a fire escape, ABC reported.
The cause of death was reportedly head trauma.
Dizdarevic lived in Spring Garden and was a chemical engineer in New Jersey, who hailed from Kentucky and was originally born in war-torn Bosnia.
Police are saying that Dizdarevic, who was last seen on Wednesday, went to meet a person he met through the Grindr app before turning up dead.
In April, a Canadian teacher in Philadelphia for the AERA conference was held hostage and robbed by a man he met using Grindr.
Family and friends have created a Facebook page in Dizdarevic’s memory.
