Survey says: College guys use condoms, not sex toys

A high percentage of college guys aren’t into using sex toys, according to a recent survey conducted in over 350 colleges, but an even higher percentage are actively using some form of birth control.

In their latest attempt to tap the male psyche, HerCampus.com, an online magazine for college women, got thousands of young studs to fess up and dish about their perception of contraceptives.

Roughly 1,176 guys between the ages of 18 and 23 were asked about baby-blocking methods and personal sexual experiences, including experience with sex toys and BDSM.

Of those surveyed, more than half admitted they would be responsible enough to take a male version of the pill, if it were offered.

Since it isn’t, however, roughly 80 percent said they would stick to using rubbers during their single life adventures.

Guys in relationships, according to the questionnaire, had a different take on pregnancy prevention.

That number drops to 58 percent for those who said they were in a relationship, with 64 percent citing the partner’s use of ‘the Pill’ as a primary source of birth control.

According to the report, 64 percent of the respondents were single and 85 percent were heterosexual.
