18 severed human heads found in package at Chicago O’Hare Airport

Passengers at O'Hare Airport probably had no idea authorities were dealing with a box of 18 severed human heads.

At Chicago O’Hare Airport, officials intercepted a package straight out of a horror film – or a science experiment.

Officials stopped a package containing eighteen severed human heads. That’s right, eighteen.

Strangely enough, though, they’re acting rather nonchalant about it.

“Everybody here is ‘Oh my gosh, you got a box of heads,” Department of Homeland Security spokesman Brian Bell said to the Chicago Sun-Times. “And everybody thinks that’s it’s unheard of.”

The idea that it’s not unheard of disturbs us even more.

The heads are said to have been shipped from Italy and authorities believe they were intended for scientific research or a medical experiment.

In case you were wondering about the graphic details of this story, local Chicago news organizations are reporting that the heads are “still covered in skin.”

We hope we didn’t ruin your appetite for lunch.
