Conspiracy theories persist in wake of Boston Marathon bombings
It’s not uncommon for conspiracy theorists to offer an array of alternate explanations in the wake of highly publicized tragedies, and the Boston Marathon bombings are no exception.
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is calling the deadly attack a “false flag” operation conducted by the United States government, and Heavy.com has raised questions over what it considers to be peculiar activity documented in photographs taken at the Boylston Street blast site. Conservative television and radio host Glenn Beck is also calling an alleged conspiracy “the biggest story of our lifetime.”
Needless to say, the question over whether the twin explosions were in fact carried out by the Tsarnaev brothers, as federal and local investigators say, or whether the devastating attack was some sort of inside job has people talking.
