Charles Ramsey: Here’s the man who saved kidnapped Cleveland women

Charles Ramsey was sitting at home eating his McDonald’s when he heard screaming. When he came outside he saw “a girl going nuts.”

Ramsey is the good Samaritan and neighbor who helped rescue three missing Cleveland women from a house where they had been held captive for 10 years.

Ramsey spoke with reporters following the girls’ rescue and gave a memorably animated interview.

He was shocked that his neighbor could be responsible for kidnapping the women.

“There was nothing exciting about this guy … until today,” Ramsey said.

He said he had no clue that anyone other than the suspect lived in the home.

“I barbecued with this dude,” Ramsey said. “We eat ribs with him and listened to salsa music.”

Ramsey said he saw the suspect, Ariel Castro, almost every day.

“You got some big testicles to pull this off, bro,” Ramsey told reporters.

Ramsey also didn’t immediately register the name Amanda Berry when he first called 911.

“I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms,” he said. “She’s homeless or she has problems – that’s the only reason she’d run to a black man.”

As it was expected, the geniuses of the Internet have already created an auto-tuned version of the interview.
