Sunbathers confused for dead bodies in Wisconsin
We can only imagine how harsh Wisconsin winters are. Just thinking about all that snow stresses us out.
When spring finally rolls around, people flock grassy locations to soak in the sun and get some color on their skin. Sunbathers took advantage of the warm weather to catch some rays.
It turns out, sunless, winter bodies look like corpses to from afar.
The Dane County 911 center was overwhelmed with calls from cell phone users reporting people lying on the grass, not moving, possibly dead.
“Please tell cell phone users that people lying in the grass are not necessarily dead,” a dispatcher at the 911 center told Madison.com.
Last Tuesday it was approximately 78 degrees in Madison according to the National Weather Service.
The weather forecast for the next few days calls for more beautiful weather. This time, though, think twice before calling the police department to report a dead body.
