Passenger in custody after claims of poisoning flight
Flying can be scary on its own. It only gets scarier when an unruly passenger claims to have “poisoned everyone on board.”
FBI agents took a suspect into custody at Newark this afternoon. The passenger was on a United Airlines flight from Hong Kong that landed around 1:45 p.m at Newark Liberty Airport.
An FBI spokesman said there is no indication that any passengers had actually been poisoned. An airline spokeswoman said the flight’s crew followed protocol and the flight continued as scheduled.
A passenger on the flight told ABC News that 10 hours into the 16 hour flight, the suspect started screaming.
The passenger, Jacques Roizen, said the unruly man claimed he was poisoned, had secrets from the CIA and mentioned Edward Snowden’s name multiple times.
It is unclear whether the passenger said he was poisoning people on the plane.
