Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter sought to reassure the public about security at this weekend’s GORE-TEX Philadelphia Marathon.

Nutter told reporters on Tuesday that there is no known threat to the city or the marathon, and that while there will be heightened security, it will not go beyond what racegoers are used to.

Race organizers will set up secure zones at the start and finish lines, which are between 18th and 25th streets along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported

Those checkpoints were established in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing, which killed three and maimed hundreds of others when two brothers detonated homemade bombs near the race’s finish line in 2013.

Nutter warned people to give themselves extra time to get through security checkpoints.
