A Delta Airlines passenger traveling from Paris to Philadelphia died mid-flight Saturday, officials announced.

The passenger was declared dead upon the flight's arrival around 4 p.m. Saturday, said Mary Flannery, spokesperson for the Philadelphia International Airport. Delta Flight 79 originated in Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport.

"This isn’t the first time, but it isn’t common at all," Flannery told the Philadelphia Inquirer of a passenger arriving to PHL unresponsive.

Tinicum Township Police and the Delaware County Medical Examiner responded to the scene. Officials have said they don't believe the death was suspicious, NBC10 reported.
