Philly food trucks compete in the Vendy Awards on Saturday

Let’s take our love to the next level — our love of food trucks, that is. The fifth annual Vendy Awards are this Saturday, June 13, with 15 of the city’s finest mobile food purveyors competing for one of three honors: the Vendy Cup, Rookie of the Year, and Dessert. Spend a summeryday sampling the best in street food, washed down with all-you-can-drinkcraft brews, and don’t forget to save room for sweets.

The Vendy Awards are in a new location this year: On the John F. Kennedy Bridge, right by 30th Street Station. The event runs1 to 6 p.m. and entry is $65 for adults and $40 for kids.

Proceeds go toThe Food Trust (the folks who also do the Night Markets) and thePhiladelphia Mobile Food Association.
