The Young Friends of Rittenhouse Square gathered at the Stotesbury Mansion on Thursday, June 16 before heading across the street to join the The Annual Ball on the Square at 10:30 p.m.. The Young Friends ticket price is affordable at $125 (whereas the Ball tickets run $550), and introduces the next generation to philanthropic endeavors. Funds from their event go to the upkeep and restoration fund of the popular park, where many of them picnic, meet with friends and soak up the sun. Co-chairs for the Young Friends party were Jennifer Laurel Brown, Peter Dilsheimer, Victoria Johnston and Cory Siegfried. Nearly 250 young friends enjoyed lite bites, dancing, drinks and a lively bidding war before joining the dance/dessert party at the Square, where The Eddie Bruce Band packed the dance floor well after midnight.
