A young woman and her unborn child died in Pottstown, Pa.after she tried to shovel snow from the weekend blizzard.

Briahna Gerloff, 18, died Saturday after shoveling snow outside her home, NBC reported.

Gerloff was eight months pregnant with a baby girl she had named Kayliana.

Her family warned her not to shovel snow.

In addition to being pregnant, Gerloff had a heart defect called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

Family members who went to check on Gerloff after she went inside found the door locked, and after obtaining entryway through the basement, found her lying in the kitchen.

Neighbors are planning a vigil for Briahna and Kayliana on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. at 14 E. Second Street, Pottstown, Pa.

A Gofundme page has been set up to receive donations for the family.
