Phillies Notebook: Pitchers, catchers report

Philadelphia Phillies v Washington Nationals
Roy Halladay and the boys are back as they look to end our winter doldrums.

The Sixers are getting blown out almost on a nightly basis. The Flyers are off to a sluggish start in a shortened season. So, welcome back, Phillies!

The city’s baseball team is in sunny Florida for spring training, as pitchers and catchers officially reported Tuesday morning. The only player not to report on time was Juan Cruz, a non-roster invitee looking for a job in the bullpen.

Many players, including Jonathan Papelbon and Roy Halladay, checked in a few days ago. Position players aren’t required to show up until Friday.

Back in South Philadelphia, single-game tickets go on sale Wednesday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. The Majestic Clubhouse Store will open at 7 a.m. and include many guest appearances, as well as a 15-percent discount on merchandise.
