Bradley, Celtics blow by 76ers

Avery Bradley gave Jrue Holiday and the Sixers fits on both ends of the floor Wednesday night.
Avery Bradley gave Jrue Holiday and the Sixers fits on both ends of the floor Wednesday night.

The Celtics (32-27) had their way with the struggling Sixers (23-36) in Philadelphia Tuesday night, beating Philly, 109-101, at Wells Fargo Center.

Avery Bradley added some offense to his relentless defense in the C’s win, scoring a season-high 22 points. Paul Pierce had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Celtics struggled late in the third quarter, allowing Philly to get back in the game, and had issues with turnovers (22) all night despite the win.

Thaddeus Young led the Sixers with 19 points.

What they’ll be saying: Bradley is coming into his own on the offensive end of the floor and could soon become a legit star in the league. The Celtics bench is also getting solid efforts these days as Jeff Green posted 16 points. Jordan Crawford had 12. This could wind up as a great week for Boston if it can come away with a win Wednesday night against potential playoff foe Indiana (7 p.m., CSN).
