The Philadelphia Police Department says a couple wasn't just window-shopping on Jewelers Row – and now a jewelry store is missing a $6,000 necklace.
Cops said that on Jan. 18 around 3:45 p.m., the two suspects entered a jewelry shop on the 800 block of Chestnut Street asking to peruse some goods. "While the owner was occupied," the PPD alleged, "the suspects removed a six thousand dollar white gold necklace from the counter and then fled the store."
The couple was reportedly last seen entering a late model, four-door silver Audi.
Cops described the suspects as: a 60-year-old black male with a full white beard wearing a white skull cap, glasses and a dark jacket; and, a mid-20s black female wearing a dark hooded jacket.
Police encouraged anyone with information to contact them at 911 or 215-686-TIPS (8477). Members of the public may also text tips to PPD TIP (773847) or submit tips online.
