Three dead, four injured in Philly weekend violence

One man was killed and three were injured Sunday in a Northeast Philadelphia shooting that may have been associated with the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club.

The shooting occurred outside of a bar on the 900 block of Pratt Street at approximately 6:16 p.m., police said.

The man who was killed was identified by police as LaBrian Dale-Parker of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Two of the other victims, a 42 and 53-year old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were listed in critical condition at area hospitals. A fourth victim, 34, had a gunshot wound to the thigh and was listed as stable.

In an unrelated shooting, police responding to a call of a “person with a gun” on the 4000 block of Cheltenham Ave on Saturday afternoon found a 41-year-old man dead inside a white Chevy Impala. He was identified as Benjamin Sheppard, who lived on that block.

Police found Aaron Walker, 34, near 7th and Lehigh where he was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they have not made any arrests in these cases.

Also on Friday, police say a 23-year old man was stabbed by a co-worker at Herr’s headquarters on the 7500 block of Brewster Ave.

The victim worked for the potato-chip maker. His assailant was a temporary employee assigned to Herr’s two weeks ago. The victim was stabbed in head, stomach and leg, and need ten stitches to his right eye.

Police arrested Tamaron Jones, 21. He is charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.
