A 26-year-old woman faces charges accusing her of setting a West Philadelphia home on fire, sparking a blaze that destroyed two neighboring homes, as well.

Around 10 a.m. Saturday, the woman, apparently seeking revenge over a money dispute, entered a home on the 4900 block of West Girard Avenue, where her child's father lived, detectives told the Philadelphia Inquirer. According to police, the man stole $1,000 from her.

The woman, who was not identified, doused the man's living room in kerosene, lit a match and fled the scene. The man was not home at the time.

Houses on either side of the targeted rowhome also sustained damage in the fire. Officials said all three homes are a total loss, 6ABC reported.

Officials eventually apprehended the suspect on the nearby West Thompson Street. She is being treated for burns to her left ankle, and has been charged with arson, reckless endangerment and risking a catastrophe.
