Where to bring your “it’s complicated” Valentine
Provided

For those in a new (or undefined) relationship not quite ready to commit to the pressure of candlelight and rose petals, bring your not-quite Valentine to one of these more casual spots. And remember, you can always fall back on “this isn’t a date! We’re just grabbing tacos!”

1. Café Ynez

BYOT (tequila) to this tasty Mexican spot in Graduate Hospital (2025 Washington Ave.), where $30 will get you three courses of soup, salad, tacos and dessert. As for the tequila, that gets mixed with fresh fruit juice for margarita time.

2. BRU Craft and Wurst

My Smutty Valentine kicks off at Bru (1318 Chestnut St.) 2 p.m., with 20 Smuttynose drafts for $5 apiece, including vintage selections. And no need to pretend to be a beer expert to impress your date: a Smuttynose Brewing Company rep will be on hand to guide you.

3. The Gaslight

Pretend it’s summer — and you love puns — at The Gaslight’s Everyone Gets Lei’d luau party (120 Market St.), starting at 11 p.m. Share a frozen What a Floozie cocktail with your lei partner: pineapple puree, coconut, lime, orange curaçao and spiced rum for $12, or for $25 get 2.5 servings poured into a pineapple.

4. P’unk Burger

The couple behind the SliCE pizza joints is opening their organically themed P’unk Burger (1823 E. Passyunk Ave.) just in time for V Day. Milkshakes will be buy one, get one half off. We’ll be the ones drinking two Speculoos shakes.

Or, stay in and order a heart-shaped “pizza-gram” from SliCE’s Rittenhouse or South Philly locations. Say you ordered it ironically.

5. Shake Shack

Bring your crush to any Shake Shack location and get a second shake free when you buy one. Share — don’t drink them both.
