Did the trade rumor mill used to be this busy during the Andy Reid days?

While pondering that, consider this: reports out of Miami have the Dolphins interested in one of Reid’s draft picks, cornerback Brandon Boykin.

Boykin, small but solid in the nickle, may be too undersized for Chip Kelly’s liking, so maybe the team would consider moving him.

It would likely be a draft day move, to help the Dolphins cover if they miss out on one of their cornerback targets.

Here’s how the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero sees it: “The Eagles, who one source tells me are willing to trade just about anybody for the right compensation, are said to be willing to trade cornerback Brandon Boykin. I cannot independently confirm Boykin is on the market, but other “reports” say he is.”

Boykin had six interceptions in 2013, tied for second most in the NFL, but his role dropped off considerably in 2014.

The Eagles also have similar talent in recently acquired Walter Thurmond III, and inked Byron Maxwell to play in the No. 1 spot.

Long story short, hold off on adding a Boykin jersey to your cavalcade of Eagles apparel.
