In last year’s NBA playoffs, TNT studio analyst Shaquille O’Neal made viewers laugh – for a few minutes, anyway – by repeating over and over again: “Birdman, birdman!” in reference to Miami’s Chris Andersen.
It appears as though Shaq has found his 2014 version of “Birdman” in the form of “BBQ Chicken Alert!”
At halftime of Wednesday night’s Blazers – Rockets tilt, Shaq repeated the phrase a good 10-12 times and one can bet that we’ll still be hearing about it on Memorial Day weekend.
O’Neal was making reference to his own reference (as all 7-foot tall egomaniacs do) from a few nights ago about Blazers center Robin Lopez being “BBQ Chicken” next to Dwight Howard.
