She may not have heard of him before their brief courtship, but “iCarly” star Jennette McCurdy certainly had no problem slamming Pistons center Andre Drummond after breaking up with him.
McCurdy went on Pete Holmes’ “You Made it Weird” podcast this weekend and just unloaded on poor Drummond after a series of, in her words, bad dates.
Drummond, 20, a budding star in the NBA, repeatedly singled out McCurdy on Twitter as his “Woman Crush Wednesday” selection last year, leading to the two eventually getting together.
But apparently the chemistry just wasn’t there, according to McCurdy. They shared a first kiss after playing laser tag, and McCurdy wasn’t feeling it.
“It just didn’t go great. … No sparks,” McCurdy told Holmes. “The mouths … the shapes weren’t right.”
Not sure if that has something to do with the fact that Drummond is 6-foot-11, while McCurdy is 5-foot-2. There’s plenty awkward about those “shapes.”
McCurdy, 21, laughs at Drummond throughout the interview. Though I will point out, it’s not like she comes off scott-free. She admitted to not knowing who Drummond was before meeting through Twitter. But she decided to date him anyway because he “seemed like a big deal.”
I suppose that’s as good a reason as any for young love.
Drummond seems to have taken it in stride, posting on Vine a response to McCurdy’s comments.
