Jesus Shuttlesworth will become the oldest rookie in NBA history on Jan. 21 when he makes his pro debut against the Celtics in South Beach. Shuttlesworth last played competitive basketball at Big State in 2002.
The NBA will be allowing select players in select games to utilize nicknames on the back of their jerseys this season. Members of the Heat and Brooklyn Nets will wear custom jerseys on March 12 and April 8. It is said that LeBron James will use the moniker, "King" and that Paul Pierce with utilize the nickname, "The Truth."
