Sports Illustrated recently posted a list regarding the top 10 players in the NBA.
Though his statistics have slipped recently due to injuries and the fact that the No. 1 player on that list (LeBron James) is now his teammate, Wade still made SI’s top 10.
CineSport asked the No. 2 player on the list, Kevin Durant, what he thought of the rankings. Durant was surprisingly candid, saying, “I think you’re missing James Harden.”
Durant was asked the follow-up, “Who would you replace on the list?”
Durant: “Dwyane Wade.”
Even more shocking in today’s world of pre-game athlete hugs is that Wade responded. Immediately. And then, the typically mild-mannered Durant went right back at Wade.
Wade sent out the above Instagram photo, citing the 2012 NBA Finals in which the Heat beat Durant’s Thunder. Durant’s response on Twitter: “Show me. Don’t tweet me.”
