Richard Sherman hooks up teammates with $25K Beats by Dre headphones

If you didn’t know Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman due to his NFC Championship tirade to FOX’s Erin Andrews, you may have known him for his omnipresent Beats by Dre headphones ad that ran throughout the playoffs.

Well that bit of marketing paid off big time for Sherman’s Seattle teammates Sunday when the company gifted his entire team with $25,000 headphones, blinged out by Graff Diamonds.

As teammate Doug Baldwin tweeted upon receiving his pair, that’s “worth more than my car.”

(Side note: Baldwin made $555,000 this season; he really needs to buy a nicer car.)

As you can see in the photo, the gold Super Bowl logo provided by Graff Diamonds is probably the largest chunk of that $25,000. Though, sometimes when I think about buying a pair of Beats, I feel like they cost that much money.

Sherman Instagrammed a pic of the whole box set, including a reference to Seattle’s “golden moment” in the Super Bowl.

Of course, this is all coming from a guy who thought his Apple earbuds at $29 were too expensive to replace when he lost them.
