Video: Bill Belichick awesomely awkward in latest press conference

Bill Belichick delivered his best Bill Belichick impression yet at Wednesday’s mid-week press conference at Gillette Stadium, answering nearly every question he received with a deadpan, “We’re on to Cincinnati.”

If you’re a fan of awkwardness, Belichick’s radio interview with WEEI sports radio Tuesday was also a gem as some of his silent pauses reached six-to-seven seconds.

A transcript of Wednesday’s gold:

Media: Your team has been successful for so long. How difficult is it to react to the adversity of Monday night’s game and get back on track? This team and organization hasn’t had these issues in the past.

Belichick: We’re on to Cincinnati.

Media: Bill, you mentioned Tom Brady’s age at the draft …

Belichick: We’re on to Cincinnati.

Media: But do you think having a 37-year old …

Belichick: We’re on to Cincinnati. It’s nothing about the past, nothing about the future. Right now we’re preparing for Cincinnati.

Media: Do you think the talent you have here is good?

Belichick: We’re getting ready for Cincinnati.

Media: Do you think you’ve done enough to help Tom Brady?

Belichick: We’re getting ready for Cincinnati. That’s what we’re doing.
